Before I get started I was wondering if any of you would be interested in reading a bio about me?
I know I haven't really done anything like that and was thinking about doing so, but wanted to make sure people would actually be interested in reading it! It would be awesome if you would just let me know in the comments. Thanks!
October 16th was the feast day of Saint Gerard Majella, the patron Saint of unborn children and expectant mothers. He was born in Italy in 1726, the story of how he became patron of unborn children and expecting mothers is really interesting.
A few days before he died, he dropped his handkerchief, and a young girl picked it up. When she was about to return it to him, he told her to keep it, saying that she would find use for it in the future. Many years later, after Gerard died and the young girl was married she found that she was expecting a child. Well into her pregnancy, the doctors told her that once she started going into labor the life of the baby would be in serious danger and that the baby wouldn't make it. The woman started to cry, a friend of hers brought her the handkerchief of St. Gerard. After she wiped her eyes she placed the handkerchief on her stomach. Once she started going into labor, everything went smoothly and the baby came into the world without any problem. Isn't that just amazing?
Saint Gerard, protector of unborn babies and their mothers, pray for us and all the mothers who are scared and thinking about aborting their babies.

I hope you enjoyed that lovely story about St. Gerard, even if you aren't Catholic we can all learn and pray to the Saints. They are amazing and holy people, that we can all strive to be.
Again, let me know if you would like to see a little bio about me in the comments!
Love and Prayers,
-Ellie
